I always love working with friends. Several years back, I helped my friends Sue and Corey buy a home…. it was a long process, but in the end we found them a great, gulf access home in the price range they were looking for. They made some improvements, including transforming their backyard from boring turf grass to a productive growing space for herbs and vegetables. Fast forward to 2022, they called me to sell. They were ready to take the equity (The house nearly doubled in value) they had made and relocate to acreage in TN to start a more off-grid lifestyle. I was super excited for them, and thrilled about the appreciation on the value of their home. I was able to connect them with an excellent agent in TN to secure the land and they surprised me by moving to it just days after I listed their home for sale, putting the pressure on for a quick sale. This was not the case. The market shifted rapidly during this time and unfortunately the sales process was a rather painful one… with multiple failed contracts & several surprises- just one of which was Hurricane Ian. We worked through the issues with them, insuring them that the house would sell. We finally secured a quality buyer and I am happy to say that they are now living their dream! Sometimes, people do not buy their forever home… sometimes a home is a step in the direction people want to go. Without the appreciation of their home, they would have had to spend years saving enough money to kick off their pre-retirement lifestyle. I am so happy for them and am honored to have helped them on 3 transactions.

Angie and Adam hung in there while we searched for a new home. Our search was over 1 year! As buyers, we had thought we had found the perfect home and found that looks could be deceiving. We then found a lot, which we fell in love with. Thankful, grateful and on and on that Angie has many, many resources upon which she calls on.
